Privacy Policy

Élan is a personal-growth app. Your vision, goals and habits are intimate things — this policy plainly explains what data we keep, why, and what we never do with it.

What we collect

• Your account: first name, email address, username, password (stored only as a hash — no one, not even us, can read it).
• Your content: vision, goals and their whys, habits and check-ins, priorities, tasks, schedule, journals, reflections, highlights, reviews.
• Your settings: language, calendar and notification preferences, and — if you enable weather — your chosen city.
• Your shared scores: if you use friends, your streak, weekly percentage and total are visible only to friends you have accepted.

What we do with it

One thing: make Élan work — sync your data across your devices, show your progress, power the leaderboard between consenting friends, and send essential account emails (confirmation, password reset).

What we never do

• No advertising. No ad tracking, no profiling.
• No selling or commercial sharing of your data, to anyone.
• No third-party analytics inside the app.

Where your data lives

Your data is hosted with Supabase (database and authentication, secure cloud). Our other technical providers: Netlify (this website's hosting), Resend (account emails) and Open-Meteo (weather — only your chosen city's coordinates are sent, never your identity). Each receives only what its function strictly requires.

Reminders (notifications) are scheduled locally on your device — they never pass through a server.

For how long

As long as your account exists. That's it.

Deleting your account

In the app: ⚙ Settings → Delete my account. Deletion is immediate and permanent: account, content, scores and friendships are erased from our servers. No copy is kept.

Your rights

You can view, correct or delete your information at any time from the app. For any question or request about your personal information (including under Québec's Law 25 or the GDPR): bonjour@elanapp.work.

Changes to this policy

If this policy evolves, the date above will be updated and any significant change will be announced in the app.
